H. 'Deceiver' ('03)
William Lachman x Permanent Wave
This wonderfully variegated plant starts out green in the spring then becomes lime and streaked soon after. From mid summer on, individual leaves can be various shades of yellow, lime and white. The more sun the more yellow the leaves become. In my garden this plant can take on a much different look depending upon the amount of sun given it. No two leaves are alike. In Michigan this plant measures 20 high by 40 wide. The name for this plant came to me as I watched through the years, the changing of the leaf color as the season progressed.
